FAQ – Get Dress’d

How long is my rental for?
The standard rental period is 3 days, and the dress must be returned by the next working day after your event, whether picked up or posted.


When do I need to order my rental?
Place your order for your event as early as possible to ensure the dress is available and no one else books it for the same date. For postal orders, ensure you place your order by 3PM Tuesday to meet the cut-off time for dispatch that week, ensuring delivery for your weekend event.


When can I pick up my rental?
You can pick up your rental 1–2 days before your event, from our Napier location. Full address details will be sent to you once your booking is confirmed.


When do I need to return my garment?

  • For weekend events, return your rental on Monday.
  • For weekday events (Mon–Thurs), return it the following working day.
    For postal orders, garments must be lodged over the counter at NZ Post by 5PM the next business day.


What happens if I can't return my rental the next working day after my event?
Please contact us immediately. If you fail to return the item on time without communication, you will incur a $25 late fee per day. After 5 days, the item will be considered non-returned and you will be charged the full replacement value.


How do I return my garment?

  • Pick-up customers: Return the garment in the same bag it came in.
  • Postal customers: Use the prepaid return bag provided and lodge it at a NZ Post counter by 5PM the next working day.


When is the latest I can order an outfit for rental?
We are very flexible for any last-minute bookings for Hawke’s Bay local pick-ups. You can place an order until 5:00 PM the day before your event, and we will have it ready for you to pick up the same day.
For postal orders, please remember that they will only be dispatched according to the postal order timeframe — by 3PM Tuesday for delivery by Friday.

Do I need to dry-clean the garment before returning it?
No — please don’t attempt to clean or treat the garment yourself. Doing so could cause damage and result in cleaning or repair charges.


What if I accidentally damage the garment?
If the garment is damaged beyond repair, you will be charged the full RRP. Minor damage or excessive cleaning may also incur additional fees. Please read our full Terms & Conditions before renting.


What if the outfit doesn’t suit me? Can I get a refund?
Unfortunately, we do not offer refunds if an item doesn’t fit or suit you. We encourage you to choose carefully and review product photos and size info, or book a try-on appointment if local.


Do you offer try-ons?
Yes! Try-ons are available by appointment in Napier. The fee is $10 for 30 minutes and is non-refundable, but it’s a great way to plan for future events.


Do you allow pick-ups?
Yes, we are currently based in Napier and offer local pick-ups only. Full address details will be provided once your booking is confirmed.


Do you do postal rentals?
Yes! We now offer nationwide overnight postal rentals. Book by 3PM Tuesday for dispatch on Wednesday, with delivery expected by Friday. This service includes tracked shipping with photo proof of delivery. Check our full Postal Rental Terms & Conditions for more details.
